![]() There is a field right across the street, so if you have a picnic blanket and chairs that's a great option to sit with the family, read your books, and have a snack. However, McDonald's is right down the road and the Aiea shopping mall is right there. Unlike the main library in town, or other libraries, there really isn't a place to sit and eat or have a picnic lunch. However, there is a dead end Street that the library sits on, and people sometimes park there too. Parking is plentiful, but oddly usually pretty packed. ![]() ![]() The architecture here is a little different. Not the library's fault, but perhaps a few more 2-seater tables instead of only four 4-seater tables would be really helpful, especially if you have several people in your group. Would be nice if there were more tables, as each table seats 4 but there is always just one person hogging the table and requests to sit with them are usually not met well. A room with three tables and attached charging stations is available in the back for studying. Security here is very very nice, something I cannot say about all public libraries. Be warned that if you renew online, you may not receive an email reminder for your renewal due date. As with all Hawaii public libraries, there is free Wi-Fi, access to ebooks, and the library will send you an email reminder a few days before your first books are due. There's a touch screen with directions, and it's kind of cool. If you have kids who like to be very Hands-On, they might enjoy this. This Library offers a check yourself and your own books out option, to the left of the circulation desk as you are looking at the circulation desk from the entrance. Library is small, but pretty well stocked. Hours are convenient, but could be open later. Interior family bathroom near the circulation desk if you have small kiddos. Outdoor bathroom but clean and well-maintained. ![]() Meeting rooms in a separate area away from the library, but very convenient.
